On a statement: MASTERCARD INTERCHANGE
Same idea as Visa interchange: the fee set by Mastercard and paid to the bank that issued the customer's card. Rates vary by card type (debit, consumer credit, rewards, business) and by how the card was accepted. Your processor passes it through at cost.
What a fair version looks like
Roughly 1.5%–2.5% of Mastercard volume, with debit well below that and premium business cards well above.
